Above The Clouds III (DC Metro)

On approach to Washington DC, a dense field of clouds stretches below—furrowed and textured like plowed earth. The formations roll in parallel ridges, creating deep valleys of shadow between peaks of white and cream. From altitude, atmosphere takes on physical weight and dimension, each layer catching light differently.

The palette is subtle: soft whites creating highlights on the cloud tops, cool grays and hints of blue-violet in the shadowed furrows. The textured surface emphasizes the sculptural quality of weather systems—solid, dimensional, almost tangible.
