Spanish Descent III

In the final minutes before landing in Madrid, the landscape below transforms into pure abstraction—swirling terraces of olive trees sculpted into the hillside, their silvery-green canopies arranged in rhythmic patterns that follow the contours of the earth. From this altitude, cultivation becomes geometry, agriculture becomes art.

The palette captures the essence of the Spanish countryside: dusty ochres and warm siennas of the soil, punctuated by the muted greens and grays of ancient olive groves. Shadows carve deep into the valleys while sunlight catches the ridges, creating a topography of color and texture that shifts with every degree of descent.
