I love painting cities and all things architectural, and I was honored when a good friend and collector of my art here in Santa Fe asked me to paint a Sicilian hillside town for her home. She and her husband traveled to Sicily a few years back and the place has kept its hold on them ever since. Our talks about their trip, and their familiarity with my cityscape style, led to the commission of this painting.
